Selection and bulk actions
How a selection grows across pages and searches, what "Select page" means, and where to see the progress of large actions.
"Select page" selects one page
Media lists are split into pages. "Select page" at the bottom left marks the media on the page in front of you. On narrow screens an icon takes the place of the label.
Whatever you had selected before stays selected — the selection grows. With 36 results on two pages, select both pages one after the other and you have all 36 together.
A selection carries across searches
Selected media stay selected when you change the search, apply filters or flip pages. That lets you gather from several searches: mark the "Aerial" results, then search for "Driving" and add more, and copy everything into one album together.
The selection then also includes media that are not on screen right now. That is why the toolbar above the list always names the total: "N selected". Clicking it shows every selected item as a preview image — useful for one last look before you act.
You can reset at any time with "Deselect all", right next to "Select page". Switching to another album or event clears the selection by itself.
Where to see the progress
Copying, moving or keywording many media takes a moment. The work continues in the background, even though the checkmarks disappear right after you start.
- The activity menu in the top bar lists running operations with a counter, such as
12 / 240. - Once an operation is through, a message reports the number.
- With very many media, the count on the target album grows step by step while the action runs.
