Distributing media
Publish and distribute media to shops, social media and other platforms.
Overview
Distribution lets you publish media to external platforms and distribution channels. You select assets, choose the destination and footage.one handles the delivery.
Note: Distribution is a subscription feature and is not available in all plans.
Distribution targets
Which targets you can create is reported by the platform itself: the distribution dialogue shows exactly the adapters set up for your instance and your plan. Among the possible ones are:
- S3 storage — write media into a bucket of your own that your website, shop or delivery network serves from. The usual route for supplying your own site, see Delivering media.
- Webhook — notify a target system that takes the media into its own holdings.
- Media feed (RSS) — provide a feed that a connected system reads on a schedule.
- Public search — make media available in the public footage.one search. The search can be embedded in your own website as a widget using Search components.
- Shop — offer media in your own footage shop.
Partner-specific targets come on top, where they are set up for your instance.

JWT token for external embedding
Every distribution of type "Public search" receives a JWT token. You can find this in the distribution settings. With the token you can embed the Search components on your own website and make the distributed media searchable there.
