People and face recognition
Recognise faces in your media and manage people for fast retrieval.
Overview
footage.one can automatically recognise faces in your images and videos. Recognised faces are managed as people — once named, they are automatically matched across all media.
Starting face recognition
Face recognition is triggered per asset. After analysis, recognised faces are displayed as overlay frames on the image.
Note: Face recognition is a subscription feature and is not available in all plans.
Naming people
Click on a recognised face to assign a name to the person:
- Create a new person — enter a new name
- Assign to an existing person — select an already known person from the autocomplete
Once named, the person is recognised in all media where the same face appears.
Managing people
Under People in the navigation you'll find an overview of all recognised people:
- A representative thumbnail per person
- Number of media items the person appears in
- Detail view with all assets for a person
Merging people
If the same person has been recognised under different names, you can merge the entries. All assigned faces are then combined under one name.
